2004 All-Star Game
The 2004 All-Star Game of Major League Baseball was the 75th playing of the midsummer classic between the all-stars of the
American League and National League. The game was held on July 13, 2004, at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Tx. the
home of the Houston Astros of the National League. The game resulted in the American League defeating the National
League 9-4.
Ivan Rodriguez hit a RBI triple and two-run homer by Manny Ramirez gave the AL an immediate 3-0 lead. With two outs, Jason Giambi
reached on a Jeff Kent error, and after Derek Jeter singled to left, game MVP Alfonso Soriano cleared the bases with a first-pitch
homer to left field that gave the AL a six-run advantage.
Soriano finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs and one run scored.
