1990 All-Star Game
The 1990 All Star Game was the 61st midseason exhibition between the all-stars of the American
League and the National League. The game was played on July 10th, 1990 at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Ill. home
of the Chicago Cubs of the National League. The game resulted in a 2-0 victory for the American League.
Wrigley Field, the last bastion of daytime baseball, hosted its third All-Star Game and its first under the lights.
The American League won its third in a row, as its pitchers, led by Bob Welch, surrendered just two hits.
The MVP of the all-star game was Julio Franco of the Texas Rangers.
