1988 All-Star Game
The 1988 All Star Game was the 59th midseason exhibition between the all-stars of the American
League and the National League. The game was played on July 12th, 1988 at Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio home
of the Cincinnati Reds of the National League. The game resulted in a 2-1 victory for the American League.
Terry Steinbach's performance led the American League back into the win column. The Oakland slugger homered in his
first All-Star Game at-bat in the third and hit a sacrifice fly for the game-winner in the fourth.
The MVP of the all-star game was Terry Steinbach of the Oakland Athletics.
