1968 All-Star Game
The 1968 All-Star Game was the 39th midseason exhibition between the all-stars of the American
League and the National League. The game was played on July 9, 1968 at the Astrodome in Houston, Texas, home
of the Houston Astros of the National League. The game resulted in a 1.0 victory for the NL.
For the third consecutive year, the All-Star Game was highlighted by overpowering pitching. The two leagues
combined for just eight hits and one run, which was earned by the National League in the first inning on a single,
an error, a wild pitch and a double play.
