1964 All-Star Game
The 1964 Major League Baseball All-Star Game was the 35th midseason exhibition between the all-stars of the American
League and the National League. The game was played on July 7, 1964 at Shea Stadium in New York City, New York, home
of the New York Mets of the National League. The game resulted in a 7-4 victory for the NL.
The National League rallied for four runs in the bottom of the ninth to win. Willie Mays led off with a walk and
stole second. Orlando Cepeda drove in Mays to tie the game and went to second on Joe Pepitone's throwing error.
After Johnny Edwards was intentionally walked, Johnny Callison hit a walk-off home run over the right field wall.
